There is a single step (8cm) from the pavement leading to double doors (170cm wide). Doors are kept open, have full viewing panels and are manned at all times by door staff, on duty to assist, for example with lifting wheelchair user’s up the step. The large entrance area contains the box office, right & left staircases to the upper levels and two sets of double doors leading through to the lower floors. These doors are 172cm wide pull doors with a viewing panel.
BOX OFFICE:
There are two box offices positioned immediately inside the entrance; one on the right hand side and one on the left, with a counter height of 110cm. Usually the left hand box office is used for guest list, and the right hand box office for sales.
LOWER FLOOR :
The lower floor of the venue is on three levels, with the stage front dancefloor on the bottom level and the other two looking to it. The auditorium is wide and each level has plenty of room to move around, dance or rest. There is no seating anywhere on the lower floor.
LOWER FLOOR – TOP:
Coming through either set of double doors brings you to the back of the lower floor auditorium. On this level are a number of facilities.
TOILETS:
On the right hand side is the Ladies toilet and on the left is the Gents. Both toilets have a number of cubicles with light push doors (66cm wide), sinks at 83cm high and hand-dryers wall mounted at 140cm high. Both are accessed via an 82cm wide light push door. At present there are no adapted toilet facilities in the venue, although plans are underway to build on on the ground level.
CLOAKROOM:
The cloakroom is on the right hand side of the rear area, has a serving hatch at 104cm high and a large print price list.
MERCHANDISE & CIGARETTES:
Merchandise, when available, is sold at the back of the auditorium either on trestle tables, or from the serving hatch at 110cm high. A cigarette machine is at the back of the auditorium with money slot at 140cm high.
BAR & FOOD:
There is a bar running the length of the right hand side of the auditorium. On this level, there is both a drinks serving area and food service area at 112cm high.
From this level, there are three small steps with contrasting edging, handrail and safety lights, down to Lower Level – Middle. When wheelchair users are present in the venue, the manager ensures a technicians ramp remains in place over these steps, to allow free access and movement between the lower levels Upper and Middle.
LOWER LEVEL – MIDDLE
On this level, the left hand bar continues. There is another bar on the right hand side, with a serving height of 100cm. There is also a wall mounted cigarette machine. From this level there are two wide staircases at the right and left side, which lead to the Upper Level of the venue.
The sound cage is on the lower level – middle area, and wheelchair users will be offered seating and transferring space in a sectioned area next to the sound cage, giving an excellent view of the stage. There is a metal barrier/handrail around the edge of this level, looking over the lower level – bottom.
LOWER LEVEL – BOTTOM
There are four steps (total height 65cm) with a handrail and contrasting edging, from the middle to the bottom level. The bottom level has the dancefloor in front of the stage.
MIDDLE LEVEL MIRROR BAR
From the entrance lobby there are two staircases, each with 25 wide stone steps with handrails leading up to the Middle Level Mirror Bar. This area has a bar in the centre with a serving height of 115cm. There is soft high-back bench style seating at a height of 43cm, a Ladies and Gents toilet, and wall mounted public telephone at 150cm.

There are also open steps up to several rows of the same type of seating. There is one row of fixed tables and seats that are reserved for the venue artists, and two rows of standing space.
